  THIS PERFORMANCE IS A FOLK DANCE FROM MAHARASHTRA,WHICH IS A STATE LOCATED IN WESTERN PART OF INDIA. IT IS CALLED “LAVNI”. LAVNI IS A COMBINATION OF TRADITIONAL SONG AND
  DANCE, WHICH IS PARTICULARLY PERFORMED TO THE ENCHANTING BEATS OF “DHOLAK”AN DRUM LIKE INSTRUMENT.

• “Kamachi Pugazh paadi” is a traditional rhythmic folk lore which praises the strength of female power. The men and women weave intricate steps with the rhythm to this folk lore.
