On Friday April 9, 2010, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mayo High School, join us for an entertaining evening of cultural performances. Admission: Adults $8, Children / Students $4, Family $20.

The World Festival 2010 Friday night program are as follows:

    THIS PERFORMANCE IS A FOLK DANCE FROM MAHARASHTRA,WHICH IS A STATE LOCATED IN WESTERN PART OF INDIA. IT IS CALLED “LAVNI”. LAVNI IS A COMBINATION OF TRADITIONAL SONG AND
    DANCE, WHICH IS PARTICULARLY PERFORMED TO THE ENCHANTING BEATS OF “DHOLAK”AN DRUM LIKE INSTRUMENT.

  • Indian Dance “Kollattam”Kolattam
  • “Kamachi Pugazh paadi” is a traditional rhythmic folk lore which praises the strength of female power. The men and women weave intricate steps with the rhythm to this folk lore. The participant couples are Raji and Ramesh Avula, Savitha and Baskar Iyengar, Anupama and Rajendra Sanwal, Ganga and Anantha Kollengode
