World Festival
The RIA sponsors and coordinates the Rochester World Festival. Allow us take you around the world in one weekend. This year’s World Festival 2010 features:
Friday night from 7-9 - The Big Show!
- Music, dance, singing and more.
- Great Food! Many ethnic foods you won’t get anywhere else in Rochester.
- Parade of Nations! Look at all of those flags from around the world. You never thought Rochester was so international.
- Children will be busy all day! Many activities and crafts for children of all ages to try out.
- Learn new games
- Visit with your international neighbors and friends at their display tables. You will learn a few things and meet some great people. Maybe find out something about the culture of your heritage.
- Buy some great souvenirs from around the world.
- Check out all the diverse activities of groups in town.
- Then relax by the stage to watch a Show of International Dress, listen to some music, watch some dances or whatever else we have in store for you.
Every year we have something new and fresh for you to explore. It is a wonderful time to spend in Rochester and feel like you are traveling the world.

We need everybody to volunteer:
- International people to literally “show their flag”, whether in the parade, their cultural displays, music, dance or whatever.
- Anybody – individuals, groups, children, adults. Without volunteers this event cannot take place. Get involved in something new and exciting.
